This past October at the Tokyo Motor Show, Mazda unveiled two new concept cars: the Kai Concept and the new Vision Coupe. They both flaunt bodies with futuristic, sporty contours and styling.
The Vision Coupe is a low-sitting, modern sports car that is both elegant and ferocious. It has a beak-inspired front end that is complemented by its wing-like contours on the sides. The side mirrors are replaced by cameras, and the rear end has inset taillights and tailpipes.
Its interior is similarly smooth and luxurious, with rounded finishes in high-quality materials such as leather on the seats and wheel and attractive wood trim. The Vision Coupe’s interior foregrounds the wheel and gear stick, with the console spanning thinly across the dash.
The Kai Concept is similar to the Vision Coupe, with smooth lines contrasting interesting angles, recessed headlights, taillights, tailpipes, and cameras instead of side mirrors. The Kai Concept features Mazda’s innovative and state-of-the-art SKYACTIV-X engine, along with two elegant front-to-back sunroofs, which offer sweeping light from the windshield to the rear of the car.
We at El Dorado Mazda are excited for the future of Mazda cars, and we think you should be too.
The latest generation of the Mazda CX-9 came out in 2016. But, already for 2018, it’s receiving some great updates. These 2018 Mazda CX-9 updates include improved handling, more standard safety features, enhanced comfort for backseat passengers, and more.
To improve the Mazda CX-9’s handling, it now comes standard with G-Vectoring Control. This system puts more weight on the front wheels to reduce engine torque. This makes the steering tighter and gives more control to the driver.
Another update this year is the addition of standard Smart City Brake Support. This automated braking system works at speed under 19 mph and will automatically apply the brakes if it detects a potential collision. Additional standard safety features include blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
With additional insulation this year, the CX-9 offers an even quieter ride than before. Mazda says it has improved the comfort and arrangement of the second and third rows, which will make everyone in the family more relaxed.
To learn more about the 2018 Mazda CX-9, stop by El Dorado Mazda today and take it out for a test drive. Once you experience its thrilling ride and superb standard features, you won’t want to drive anything else.
The Mazda6 sedan is getting a new look, setting new standards for automotive design and engineering. Mazda recently announced that the redesigned Mazda6 sedan will make an appearance at the 2017 LA Auto Show, and it now has sweeping contours, a signature fascia, and a suite of new technologies.
According to Mazda, the Mazda6 is getting a “Mature Elegance” design, which features high-quality interior materials like Japanese Sen Wood and exclusive accents. There’s also a range of updated i-ACTIVSENSE safety systems to give you added protection, while a SKYACTIV-G 2.5T engine will be added for the upcoming model year.
“The Mazda6 is the flagship of Mazda’s passenger car lineup,” stated Mazda in a press release. “The development team’s goal for this round of updates, the third since the model was fully redesigned in 2012, was to enhance the daily lives of people who love cars, incorporating premium details and new engineering concepts and technologies based on Mazda’s human-centered design philosophy.”
Mazda’s goal by 2030 is to rethink mobility via sustainable design efforts, and the latest Mazda6 is part of that process. Improved aerodynamics and lightweight materials help to improve gas mileage, while the SKYACTIV engine technology reduces emissions compared to older generations.
We at El Dorado Mazda can’t wait to see the latest Mazda6 on our dealership lot.
In case you didn’t know, Mazda CX-5 safety features include a range of intelligent upgrades, which is a reason the CX-5 earned a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The Top Safety Pick+ rating is the highest designation a car can receive from the IIHS, and this award is evidence of the impressive safety features possessed by the CX-5.
According to Mazda, the CX-5 has received this award from the IIHS five years in a row. Safety features include Smart City Brake Support, standard LED headlights, and more. In order to receive the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating, the CX-5 had to earn a “good” rating in five areas, as well as “advanced” in front crash prevention and “acceptable” or “good” in headlight ratings.
“Our Mazda Proactive Safety Philosophy guides us to develop cars and crossover SUVs that are nimble and direct-feeling to help a driver avoid incidents altogether. Our vehicles are designed and engineered to help protect the driver and passengers if a collision happens,” said Masashi Otsuka, VP of research and development at Mazda North America.
Other new safety features include Mazda Radar Cruise Control to help you maintain a safe following distance, Lane Keep Assist, and Traffic Sign Recognition to ensure you stay alert on the road. To see the range of new safety features on the 2017 Mazda CX-5, visit El Dorado Mazda.
Your credit score is a numerical rating that determines your creditworthiness. In other words, it lets lenders know how reliable you are as a borrower. Not only can a bad credit score lead to application denials, but it may also increase your interest rates in the long run. There are some basic steps you can take to increase your credit score.
According to myFICO, the first thing you should do is regularly check your credit score. You can get a free copy once every 12 months by going to annualcreditreport.com or you can sign up for a service through a company by paying for your score. It’s important to stay up-to-date so you can notice any inconsistencies on your report, an issue that happens more than you might think.
Next, pay your bills on time and sign up for autopay. Payment history is the largest factor in your score (about 35%), which means that if you miss payments it can have serious consequences. If you are having trouble paying bills, contact creditors and/or seek a credit counselor.
You should also keep balances low on “revolving credit” accounts, like credit cards, and don’t open too many accounts too rapidly. Many young creditors try to improve their score by opening more accounts, but this can backfire if you borrow too much at one time. If you do get new credit accounts, try to focus on positive types of credit like mortgages or student loans, as opposed to credit cards.
For more information about credit scores or financing, talk to our experts in the finance department at El Dorado Mazda. Our goal is to get you behind the wheel of your dream car and save you as much money as possible. Maintaining your credit scores is one of the best ways to do that.
Mazda has officially announced that it plans to add smartphone integration compatibility across the lineup, but hasn’t released an official date just yet. The Japanese automaker made the official announcement at the debut of the 2017 Mazda CX-5. Best of all, the new smartphone integration technologies won’t be limited to brand new models.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities will come to the Mazda lineup in the near future. New vehicles won’t be the only models available with the technologies. Drivers will be able to upgrade retroactively with additional hardware. The catch: the vehicle must be equipped with Mazda Connect.
Mazda Connect, the brand’s infotainment system, launched in the 2017 Mazda3 and has made its way to each model through the lineup. Enthusiasts and experts expect something similar to occur with the release of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The Japanese automaker has partnered with both smartphone integration systems since 2014, so new software arriving in Mazda vehicles has been a long time coming. While the brand doesn’t have an official timeline just yet, drivers can expect to see more details on the rollout plan in the near future.
We here at El Dorado Mazda are pumped to see such innovative technologies arriving throughout the lineup!
Mazda is bringing home more awards, including a recent accolade from the Consumer Guide 2017 Best Buys list. Four models were named top in their class, including the Mazda3, Mazda6, Mazda CX-3, and Mazda MX-5 Miata. If you’re looking for a truly award-winning ride, check out the latest from Mazda’s 2017 lineup.
According to Mazda, the Consumer Guide list is based on a range of attributes, especially value. In other words, the company is looking for the highest quality, affordability, and features. Mazda vehicles come with high scores in each of these categories, making them great buying options for virtually any driver. The Mazda3 took home the gold in the Compact Class, the Mazda6 in Midsize Car, the CX-3 in Subcompact Crossover, and the Miata in Sporty/Performance Class.
As stated by Consumer Guide Automotive, “a vehicle does not become a Best Buy solely on objective ratings. It also has to distinguish itself as being a good dollar value compared to others in the class.”
Mazda also recently won several other awards, including one from Wards for the turbocharged Skyactiv-G 2.5T engine and from Autoweek for the “Motorsports Constructor of the Year.” Nothing tops Mazda vehicles, and the 2017 model year is proving just how great this brand truly is.
