Mazda is shaking things up in its SUV and crossover lineup this year, introducing a brand-new model: the Mazda CX-30. The Mazda CX-30 debuted earlier this year at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show. It highlighted the compact crossover’s roomy interior, sporty styling, and abundance of cargo capacity.
As of now, the CX-30’s United States engine specs haven’t been revealed. The European model, though, will come with two engine options. The first is a 2.0-liter inline-four gasoline-powered option that utilizes a mild hybrid technology to get solid efficiency ratings. A 1.8-liter diesel will also be available, paired to either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. This model will offer an available all-wheel-drive system.
Mazda designed the CX-30 with versatility and space in mind for busy families. It is taller and more spacious than the CX-3, filling the gap between the CX-3 and CX-5. Along with offering 15.2 cubic feet of rear cargo space, the crossover will boast a sporty design, highlighted by sweeping bodylines and a sloping rear window that is similar to a coupe.
